You are an expectant parent who is drawn to exploring the depths that birth and new parenthood offers.
You are preparing to birth a new version of yourself alongside your baby, and have been gathering the right tools for this all of your life. You are practiced at grounding into the wisdom of your body. You are looking to us for support and guidance, but you see yourself as the ultimate authority over what is best for you and your family. You are committed to asking questions and feeling into the answers as you choose the next best step forward in the labryrinthian path of birth and the postpartum journey.
WHO WE ARE:
We are three experienced doulas and close friends who have been leaning on each other in our work and personal growth for years.
We’ve turned to each other first any time we needed a backup doula, a fresh perspective, or a listening ear. We’ve supported each other through big life changes like divorce and even a difficult but victorious battle with cancer, and so often that support happened around a fire pit– mugs of tea or glasses of wine in hand– where we often found ourselves dreaming up the changes we’d make to the established way doula support works.

We came up with a comprehensive program drawing from our wide range of resources and philosophies. We each draw from, among many other things, somatic embodiment techniques, Jungian psychology, and Britta Bushnell’s Transformed by Birth. Together we are able to offer the families we work with so much more than we were able to offer in private practice, and we also reap the benefit of a business model that is much more sustainable and nourishing for ourselves as well.

While we pull from the wisdom gained from over four decades of combined experience, over a thousand collective births, as well as countless certifications and trainings, we remain open minded and humbled by the unpredictability of birth. Your birth is not about our expertise– we are there to remind you of your own, and to comfort and assist you as you find your way.

The way a baby moves through the pelvis can be influenced by maternal movements and stretches both prenatally and during labor. Though babies tend to fit regardless of the way they are facing, there are certain positions that tend to be easier and more efficient.

We keep ourselves up to date on the current research, and look to only the highest quality studies when passing along evidence to our clients.

According to Merriam-Webster, alchemy is a power or process that changes or transforms something in a mysterious or impressive way. Jung stated “Alchemy describes, not merely in general outline but often in the most astonishing detail, the same psychological phenomenology which can be observed in the analysis of unconscious processes.”
We witness this transformation regularly, and yet rarely find this aspect of parenthood discussed in the birth world.
